THE SECOND IDEAL (Fantasy Decision Scene)
The crew of Bridge Four come to rescue Dalinar’s surrounded army from certain death on the battlefield. But Kaladin, haunted by his past, has to swear his oath if he wants the power from his spren Syl to save them all.
This scene comes from The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. I created a Blender scene to establish backgrounds and character staging. I worked together with a colleague of mine in VFX, Rafles, and he beautifully animated the stormlight, Syl, and blood and dust. For the animatic, I used a clip from the audiobook narrated by Kate Reading and Michael Kramer (I also used the voice of Syl by Nora Achrati from the Graphic Audio version), and the music is from Attack on Titan. Sound FX came from various royalty-free samples, and I edited the whole thing together.
